My interest in woodworking has led me to explore the possibilities of combining carving and painting in turning bowls.

Some of the varied shapes of bowls suggest other decorative treatments. While the focus of the inside of bowls remains the graining and individual character of wood, the outside may exhibit carved patterns or colorful accents.

These extra details have even inspired by Native American pottery and craftsman style patterns as well as some fun seasonal details.
